At Building Hope Project (BHP), we are on a mission to provide young people in Jinja, Uganda, the opportunity to rise above their circumstances and transform their future and country. But we can't do it alone – we need your help. Education is the key to unlocking a brighter tomorrow for these children, and your donation can be the catalyst that changes everything.
Why Your Help Matters?
Why Your Help Matters?
Why Your Help Matters?
Every day, students in underserved communities face overwhelming challenges – from lack of access to educational opportunities to going without meals. Without the necessary support, many will never get the chance to break the cycle of poverty. But with your donation, we can make sure that each child gets the opportunity they deserve.
Your gift doesn’t just provide school fees – it gives a child the foundation for a future filled with hope. Every dollar you contribute ensures a child receives:
A uniform to wear with pride.
Meals to nourish them for the day ahead.
School supplies to support their education and growth.
And much more, so they can fully thrive in the classroom and beyond.

Volunteer & Contribute Your Gifts
There are many ways to be part of the movement. Whether you’re local to Uganda or supporting from across the world, we invite you to share your time, talents, and ideas with Building Hope Project.
Our volunteers make BHP stronger—by mentoring students, helping at events, offering professional expertise, supporting logistics, or simply showing up in creative ways that reflect who they are. You don’t need a specific title or background to make a difference here.
We’re looking for people who care deeply about youth, community, and justice—and who are willing to contribute their time and resources to the work already underway on the ground.

Want to Plug In?
If you're interested in volunteering or contributing in any capacity, we’d love to hear from you.

“When initially introduced to BHP, I immediately became enamored with the vision and all that it entails. But also with limited knowledge and experience to know what a world outside of my own looked like, I would see others travel to the beautiful nation of Uganda, to serve…Being able to partner with BHP by volunteering for such an exceptional organization was beyond an honor to be a part of. I tell people this often, you must go outside of your normal and what you’re accustomed to. Your perspective of Africa is probably wrong. Whatever I have learned about missionary work and Africa prior to joining BHP mission trip has been debunked, challenged and unlearned and I'm gladIm glad my perspective has shifted and know that the work BHP is doing is not only excellent, but quintessential and the world will know who Building Hope Project is.

“This trip truly is eye opening and life-changing. My time serving BHP in 2023 and 2024 birthed vision and developed gifts that I didn’t know I had. The training prior to the trip was comprehensive and made me feel prepared for whatever. I recommend this trip for those who want to go from good to great.”

“My experience with BHP has been incredible. Initially, I thought I was traveling to support my son, but God has a greater plan for me. I have now been to Uganda seven times and counting, and each visit has been life-changing in the best way. Through these journeys, I have developed much love for the children and people of Uganda. I’ve had the privilege of meeting many amazing individuals who have become like family. The relationships I’ve built are truly a blessing from God.”

"Since hearing about the Building Hope Project from CEO/Founder, David Curtiss, I have always been inspired by the important work of the organization and its steady growth in not only supporting youth to receive an education, but reckoning them as leaders and local agents of change. I joined the mission trip in 2019, and was blown away with the direct impact on the students at Kirra Primary School. I learn more about their personal stories and experiences navigating life behind closed doors, while still showing up to receive an education. From meeting with students, families, teachers and generous BHP team members, the trip made it clear to me that BHP is a team effort, where the skills and gifts of everyone come together in the ultimate goal of supporting students in the classroom, but holistically facilitating their natural gifts as leaders.”
